Today, I had to fly down to Florida for a family emergency which occurred this past Saturday, 08/27 and was the earliest I could get away. Up until now, I was hoping to get back into the groove of posting an article or editorial at least once a day. But because of this emergency I’m not sure I will be able to do so.
It won’t be for a lack of effort though!
Suffice to say, I will be staying in Florida for at least six weeks as I spend time in the hospital with this family member. Just one of those things you don’t except or account for that disrupts your routine. But family is family and we have to do what we can.
As of right now, I’ll be spending the entire night and a fair portion of the day sitting by their bedside to keep them company and to help where I can. Unfortunately, since they will be sleeping through the night, it will be difficult to do any typing during this time. So I’ll have to figure it out as I try to establish a routine of some sorts.
