R.A. Salvatore Announces Video Game Licensing of “DemonWars Saga” With Tupelo Labs

Fantasy author R.A. Salvatore has announced a licensing agreement with Tupelo Labs, a 3D development studio, to bring his high fantasy “DemonWars Saga” to the video game market. The first book, “The Demon Awakens” was first published back in 1997 with two trilogies and one book bridging the two having been published since that time.

In regards to the licensing agreement, the New York Times Bestselling Author R.A. Salvatore said,

“It’s heartwarming and exciting to me to see ‘DemonWars’ come to life in a different medium. The folks at Tupelo Labs know the source material and respect the source material, and I can’t wait to see how they bring the adventures of Corona to gamers worldwide.”

No details have been provided as to what kind of video game fans of the series and eager gamers will be able to expect. Nor has there been any time frame provided for further details on what projects will be launched that will be set in the world of Corona.

Tupelo Labs is a newly-established studio launched back in August 2023 and based in Savannah, GA, that appears to be taking a more active stance when it comes to video games with an emphasis on developing next-generation games for virtual reality, consoles, and the PC market. The team is composed of industry veterans that have worked on games such as The Exorcist and The Twilight Zone and a team familiar with creating digital content with the use of 3D technology.

Tupelo Labs CEO Skylar Reep commented on the new partnership stating,

“Working with a legendary storyteller like R.A. Salvatore is an honor. We are excited to leverage our team’s extensive background in bringing cinematic universes to the interactive realm and we look forward to diving into the rich, varied settings and characters of the ‘DemonWars Saga’.”

A newly released book, from R.A. Salvatore, titled “Pinquickle’s Folly,” returns to the world of Corona and the setting of the “DemonWars Saga.”
