If you are a gamer who doesn’t like to be constrained by normal gameplay dictating that you choose a class and skills associated with that class, then The Rangers in the South is what you are looking for and is now available on Steam.
An action RPG game, The Rangers in the South is a single player title that features a classless system that allows players to mix-and-match weapons, spells, and attributes to create any character they want. With hundreds of spells to choose from, an assortment of procedurally-generated weapons and equipment, and a levelling up system, your ability to create the next uber-powerful character is limited only by your tiny little brain.
Developed by Chile-based DPA Studios, the game is set in a 2.5D pixelated world where Rangers are once again summoned to confront an evil demon. As you set out to fulfill your oath to protect these lands, you will have to explore and traverse various biomes, dungeons, villages, and procedurally-generated environments.
During your travels, you will also have to face hordes of enemies. However, if you die, you lose your character forever and will have to create a new one. Though not all is doom and gloom. While you will have to start at level 1 again, you will only lose half your gold, keep your permanent upgrades, and any items stored in your chest.
The Rangers in the South is now available on Steam for $3.99.
