Final Knight Battles its Way Into Steam Early Access

Indie developer 2oClockSoft has announced that its Beat’em up title Final Knight has just entered Steam Early Access.

Final Knight is a retro style game with roguelike elements in which players will choose from a selection of nine characters in order to create a party of four. Party members will be assigned races, backgrounds, and abilities at random, making each playthrough more challenging and different as you traverse through the side-scrolling stages.

With your chosen party, players will be able to accept quests before battling with hordes of enemies and colossal bosses while collecting bonus materials from these fights. Collecting such materials will allow you to craft a variety of weapons and armor to help strengthen your party. Party members will be able to combine skills for powerful attacks while placing them in certain positions can also provide additional bonuses to help traverse the stages and fight your enemies.

Inspired by games such as Monster Hunter World and Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara, Final Knight is a single player title with local/splitscreen co-op and allows players to adjust the game’s difficulty level to make it more or less challenging depending on your preference.

According to the Korean developer, Early Access will last around six months to a year before the game is fully released. During this time, the developer plans to improve the game, add new content, and implement changes with the help of player feedback.

Final Knight is now available in Steam Early Access for $13.99 (currently on sale for $12.59 until January 26).
