It has been a long time since I last thought about Pokemon cards. While I briefly got into Pokemon GO when it first released, I quickly lost interest in it as it wasn’t all I thought it could be. Shortly after the app released, I did sell some old cards because of a renewed interest in the cards themselves as a result of the mobile app. Now, there is another wave of interest in Pokemon cards, which has me trying to find my old sets and see if I should consider selling them. However, rather than just posting them up on Ebay, I am considering whether or not to get my cards graded first.
Getting cards graded can cost a pretty penny and isn’t usually worth doing unless you have some rare or heavily-sought after cards. Unfortunately, since I’ve been out of the loop, I figured I might as well ask my you guys for your opinion on whether or not I should get a specific card graded.
So the first card I am presenting is a base set Charizard Holo card (4/102). Take a look at the pics, in the plastic sleeve and out of the sleeve, which I have posted and let me know whether you think it is worth getting graded or not (here is a link to the poll) and even estimate what you think it might be worth in the comments.
If the consensus is that I should get it graded, then I’ll provide a follow-up post on what it cost to get graded and what grade it was given.
