The Independent Politician: Jen Psaki And Biden Administration Gaslighting About Food Shortages In America

Being an informed individual has always been an important aspect in life so that you can make informed decisions. But now, more than ever, it is imperative that people try to be informed as much as possible. However, this is made difficult when not just mainstream media ignores crucial information but the government as well. The latest incident? White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki and the Biden administration are gaslighting the public by saying that they are not expecting any food shortages.

In a recent press briefing, Psaki stated, “We are not expecting a food shortage here at home. But we are acting to bolster food security around the globe.”

There are a number of reasons why I could think that Psaki is being disingenuous here. The first reason is that she is an uninformed idiot who doesn’t know what is happening right now. But, that is not true. She works at the White House and has to be informed in order to do her job. Second, she is trying to prevent people from panicking. Why? Because those same people would flood every store in order to buy as much food as possible (which we saw during lockdowns). Third, she is trying to keep voters from turning against the administration when it comes to the midterm elections this year.

The first reason is the most unlikely. But the rest are plausible and, potentially, all true. Psaki and the Biden administration are wrong for taking the position that there will be no food shortages this year for a plethora of reasons.

Let’s look at some of the reasons why this is the case.

Here in the United States there is an avian flu outbreak which, as of the last count according to the CDC, has affected over 33 million birds. There are poultry outbreaks in 29 states and wildlife outbreaks in 33 of them. This means an even larger shortage of chicken, turkey, and eggs is going to hit us real soon. China is also dealing with a strain of avian flu that, just recently, has been reported to infect people. Meat, in general, was already in short supply over the past three months this year. Prior to this avian flu outbreak, it was more a chain supply disruption due to lockdowns, new Covid regulations, and then, inevitably, a worker shortage.

Then there is the grain shortage that is happening and about to get worse. Russia’s expected attack on Ukraine means that crops will be affected. Russia accounts for 23% of the world’s ammonia exports, 21% of potash exports, 14% of urea exports, and 10% of processed phosphate exports. The top 4 countries that are supplied by Russia are Brazil (21%), China (10%), America (9%), and India (4%). While America has a solid fertilizer industry, the percentage still exported into the country will have an effect on prices and amount of crops produced.

As for grain, the prices continue to increase to 14-year highs. Just as Russia and Ukraine supply the world with a significant amount of fertilizer, so too with grain. Combined, both countries export 80% of the world’s sunflower oil, 29% of wheat exports, and 19% of corn exports.

We are also seeing stores limit the amount that customers can buy like we saw during the lockdowns. In April, stores such as Cosco, Walmart, and Kroger started enforcing limited purchases on things such as baby formula, sugar, tuna, canned salmon, mac and cheese, and soy milk. Though, with mac and cheese, the demand is so high that suppliers can’t process fast enough to keep up. But in regards to flour and sugar, I volunteer every month at a food pantry and we have been unable to procure these two staples for months to give to needy families.

Speaking of food processing; if you thought avian flu outbreak, grain shortage, price increases, and purchase limitations were not enough: food processing facilities are being affected as well. A string of fires have been hitting food processing facilities all across the nation. At least 16 processing plants have been affected so far. Which means further disruption to supply lines and manufacturing of food when it comes to meat, grain, and dairy.

All of these things combined will result in further food shortages and higher prices.

But, according to Psaki and the Biden administration, there will be no food shortages in America but there will be worldwide. The administration certainly is acting like this is true and it keeps wanting to give billions away in aid to other countries while offering only a pittance, if anything at all, for America’s infrastructure.

So why are they lying?

Why is mainstream media news outlets lying to protect them once again? Just like the Democrats and MSM lied about no or little inflation for a while, then said that inflation was a good thing, then blamed Russia for inflation, we are seeing the same thing here. The same thing we saw when it came to lying about the efficacy of cloth masks in preventing the spread of Covid when it was really about stopping people from buying N95 masks so that hospitals and more important sectors could have access to specific, more effective PPE.

In my opinion, it’s all about power. This is why the Democrats and their mainstream media lapdogs are doing this. Because they don’t want people to panic and strip the shelves bare like we saw during lockdowns. It would make them look really bad and affect people’s already-decreasing opinion of their party. They especially don’t want to lose the midterm elections. It is the latter that, I assume, is at the forefront of their minds. Since the Biden administration took charge, we have seen a chain of bad decisions made which has resulted in out-of-control inflation, increasing food shortages, and the government spending money like there is no tomorrow.

Even now, the Democrats are still trying to give away billions of dollars to the rest of the world which will cause inflation to rise even more. Yet, are lying about food shortages not being in America’s future. Hardly doing anything to deal with the looming, ever-increasing crisis. All because they need to stop the self-inflicted, festering wound from pouring voters out who are looking for someone else to vote for in the midterm elections.

Democrats are losing power, influence, and credibility. The Biden administration and the shill mainstream media is doing everything they can to sell more lies to Americans. All while food becomes scarce, gas prices increase, utilities and rents increase, and inflation soars while people aren’t getting paid more. Your money’s buying power is continually being eroded.

The wealthy won’t be affected be food shortages

Meanwhile, more illegal immigrants are pouring into the United States which will have further impact on all of these things. Which will increase as the world suffers from a worldwide food shortage? Where do you think many of them will try to go? Things are going to get a lot worse at our borders because of global food shortages and the Democrats refuse to do anything about securing our borders.

Though, as a side note, it wouldn’t surprise me if Democrats try to come up with a way to legalize the hiring of illegal immigrants to try and fix the worker shortage being experienced. Nothing like a new slave caste that will boost Dem’s voting power and provide cheap labor for corrupt businesses. Right?

Just know that any news outlet lying about food shortages should be boycotted and any politicians or pundits doing the same should be ridiculed. These people are not your friends, but your enemies. They don’t care about you. They only care about themselves because, when food shortages get worse, they will already be prepared for it while you are crying about what you are going to do to feed your family or yourself.

This is why Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter is so pivotal right now. Those with opposing views to a corrupt administration and biased media can now make their concerns known to a large audience without being banned or shadowbanned. That more information will be available so that we can draw our own conclusions. Which is what Twitter has been denying people on its platform from doing for years and why these crying adult babies, who are having mental breakdowns, rightfully deserve to lose their jobs.

Hey, maybe I am wrong in assuming that there will be no food shortage in America. You tell me. Am I looking at all of the evidence and coming to the wrong conclusion? I admit, I am not a smart person. Surely there are people smarter than me who can make sense of all of this.

All I know is that, like I did in 2020 and 2021, I will try to prepare in order to weather this storm and, if I am wrong, at least I won’t have to go shopping for a while. Which is a good thing as prices for everything will continue to increase.
