Indie Developer Centurion Developments Launches Kickstarter Campaign For WWII Strategy Game Forgotten But Unbroken

Indie game developer Centurion Developments has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming turn-based tactical strategy game, Forgotten But Unbroken. Set during the Second World War, the game tells the story of a rogue company of multinational soldiers who unite to defeat the Axis powers with plans to be released in late 2023.

Set against the backdrop of Europe in the later years of WW2, players will take control of a multinational group of soldiers who must defeat the Axis powers. The game plans to cover several frontlines and theaters of war set in locations from the villages of Northern France to the hills of the Italian countryside.

Players will take command of their troops and utilize tactics, weapons, abilities, and skills in order to succeed in any engagement. Yet, while victory will lead to looting weapons and items from your enemies and experience for your soldiers, it will also draw the attention of elite German forces. Success means greater threats and the game’s diplomacy system is there to help the player interact with the leaders of the allied forces who will, in turn, provide supplies, weapons and even information.

With those supplies and weapons, players will also be able to build a guerilla base from which their forces will operate from. Over time, players will be able to expand and upgrade their base while keeping stocked with supplies that will help bring your wounded troops back to help and stockpile ammunition.

The Kickstarter campaign will run into the month of May, with the goal of raising €80,000 to complete the project. Funds raised will primarily cover visual enhancements, sound design, and quality-of-life features to provide players with an incredible experience at launch. The initial goal of €80,000 will go into expanding the team and accelerating development. At €150,000 story cutscenes will be added to the base game, €180,000 will include Operation Anthropoid which will be a playable mission depicting the assassination of the Prague Protector, €230,000 will add more playable heroes, at the €300,000 goal there will be more narrated historic events and stories, and €350,000 is currently a top secret.

Centurion Developments lead game designer Branislav Gulas said,

“Forgotten But Unbroken tells the story of some incredible heroes, and we want to ensure that story is told in the best possible way. The game is a labor of love for us, and we hope the community can help us make it a reality.”

The game hopes to launch on Steam later this year and will initially be playable in English and Czech. Gamers can add the game to their Steam wishlist, follow the team on Twitter, and even join them on Discord. The Forgotten But Unbroken Kickstarter campaign is now live where players can pledge their support.
