Chinese conglomerate Tencent has announced its latest gaming venture, Light of Motiram, an open-world survival RPG that blends exploration, strategy, and other mechanics. Developed by Tencent subsidiary Polaris Quest, the Light of Motiram appears to be heavily influenced by Horizon Zero Dawn, Palworld, and Monster Hunter.
Set in a post-human world dominated by colossal mechanical creatures known as Mechanimals, players will explore diverse terrains from grasslands to mountains while encountering mechanimals and coming across ancient ruins. There will also be harsh weather and hostile environments to contend with and survive in.
The survival game will allow gamers, either by themselves or with friends, to build bases with its physics-based system and gather resources. On top of that, over 100 mechanimals will be tamable and trainable to help players with combat and utility roles such as harvesting resources similar to the systems in ARK Survival Evolved and Palworld.
Light of Motiram’s combat system will require precise actions for dodging, blocking, countering, and movement for players. Not just to fight and tame mechanimals, but formidable bosses throughout the world.

According to the Steam listing, the game’s preliminary PC requirements are as follows:
- Minimum: Windows 10, Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX 970, 50GB storage.
- Recommended: Windows 10/11, Intel Core i7 9700, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 3060 Ti , 50GB SSD.
The game remains in development with no official release date but will be available for PlayStation 5, Steam, and mobile. It is currently available to wishlist on Steam and its official website.
