Indie publisher Retrovibe has announced the upcoming release of Only Lead Can Stop Them, a retro-style first person shooter for fans of early 90s games such as Wolfenstein 3D. Developed by Warcry Interactive, the fast-paced, pixelated action game will launch on Steam and GOG on Dec. 9, 2024.
Only Lead Can Stop Them is set during the Spanish Civil War where players take on the role of a soldier fighting to defend the Republic. The game will offer three campaigns, spanning 30 levels, where players will battle through ancient castles, muddy trenches, eerie catacombs, dense forests, and war-torn cities. Along the way, players will confront waves of enemies as they rescue allies and uncover the sinister motives behind the conflict.
Players will be able to choose from an arsenal of 10 weapons including rifles, shotguns, and explosives to take down foes and achieve victory.
Only Lead Can Stop Them features retro-style visuals and gameplay packed with fast-paced action reminiscent of games such as Wolfenstein 3D and the original DOOM.
A free demo for Only Lead Can Stop Them is currently available on Steam and can be added to your wishlist before it releases December 9, 2024. Pricing for the game has yet to be announced.
