Wargame and strategy publisher Slitherine has revealed that its upcoming modern RTS Broken Arrow is in the Top Wishlists on Steam having garnered 800,000 wishlists. The company also announced that it is partnering with marketing agency Heaven Media to help further grow and expand the reach for the anticipated game which is expected to be released June 2025.
This places Broken Arrow, at the time of this article’s publication, in the 29th spot for Top Wishlists on Steam. Slitherine also revealed that almost half-a million players registered and participated in the previous multiplayer open beta, back in November 2024, with 340,000 hours watched on Twitch and 7,000 hours streamed.
Broken Arrow is being created by Russia-based developer Steel Balalaika, and is a large-scale, real-time modern RTS game that will offer a single player campaign in addition to multiplayer. Players will have a choice between American and Russian factions in order to participate in joint-forces war games utilizing land, sea, and air units.
The game will feature over 300 realistic military units and technologies that includes units such as paratroopers, ATGM carriers, and helicopters. Each unit can be customized from the type of weapons loadout to ammo, armor, fuel tanks, sensors, and more to help players deploy units best suited for each combat situation.
Commenting on the company’s partnership with Heaven Media, which works with other companies and IPs such as NEXON and PUBG, Slitherine Director of Publishing Marco A. Minoli stated,

Broken Arrow is scheduled to be released June 2025 on Steam but the retail price has not been disclosed yet. The game will also require an agreement to a 3rd-party EULA.
