Developer IDUN Interactive announced that its upcoming real-time strategy game, IDUN – Frontline Survival, has garnered over 20,000 downloads in just one week since the release of its free Prologue. The game is set for its full release on PC via Steam on January 20, 2025.
The Prologue offers players a taste of the game’s much-anticipated Raid Mode, combining RTS elements with tower defense gameplay. Players are tasked with thwarting alien invasions across roguelike missions, managing a fleet of combat units, heroes, and turrets to fend off swarms of extraterrestrial enemies.
IDUN – Frontline Survival will feature a main campaign and various gameplay modes where players can extract resources, upgrade technology, and navigate through various scenarios. This includes defending key points, escorting vital vehicles, and protecting mining operations, all while facing relentless alien threats.
The game is set on the planet IDUN, the name of a Norse goddess, where a crew is stationed on an outer rim drilling station that must go down to the planet to mine for resources. The station is where you will decide what you will bring down from the Heroes to turrets and tools.
IDUN – Frontline Survival is expected to be released January 20 on Steam and can still be added to users’ Wishlist or check out the available demo. It will also be playable on Valve’s Steam Deck. No retail price has been announced yet.
