Indie Adventure Game Fisherman’s Palace Lands on Steam Early Access Hoping to Hook Gamers

While fishing can be a calming experience under many conditions, it can also become a stressful one if one looks at it as a job and not a passion. For gamers who love to fish, and want some excitement, then know that Fisherman’s Palace has just landed on Steam Early Access to provide both a calming and somewhat stressful experience.

Developed by SuperuserGames, Fisherman’s Palace is a third-person adventure fishing and farming game where players will step into the shoes of a man who has escaped city life and is looking to start a new one in a relaxing village. However, a mysterious fish has appeared, which no one can catch. Unless you think you are up to the challenge of reeling it in.

Set in a village where fishing is the way of life, with over 90 different species of fish swimming throughout the area, players will be competing to catch the biggest fish and take the top spot of the leaderboards. In fact, competition is so fierce that there are different factions to join, each with their own unique flair and personalities. Participating in the fishing tournaments will allow players to earn rewards that include fishing rods, farming incenses, and rare seeds.

To help in the pursuit of catching the largest fish, players will also be able to create their own farming plots to help devise the best bait for catching rare fish. Fish that will be found by visiting and exploring various islands and, along the way, find a little booty as you sail your vessel around (treasure chests you perverts). In addition to growing crops, players will also have a workshop to craft their perfect bait, unlock inventory space, and upgrade their home with structures to help boost farming.

But when players are not exploring the islands, or fishing the high seas, they can talk to the various village NPCs to help uncover the truth about the village and its mysteries with their fishy tales.

Fisherman’s Palace is now available on Steam Early Access for $15.99 (on sale for $14.39 until March 27).

SuperuserGames is a two-person indie dev team located in Croatia that also happens to be a couple. Damir, along with his girlfriend Ivana, have been working on Fisherman’s Palace since October 2023.
