Developed by StoryForge Games, Dust & Courage: Jake Bolton’s Journey is an isometric, RPG where players will step into the world of a historical, fictitious version of the American wild west. In this wild west sandbox, players will step into the boots of Jake Bolton, a simple farmer, and then figure out their path from there depending on the characters you meet and the stories that unfold.
The gameplay will offer a mix of exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat where various weapons and skills will need to be utilized for negotiations or fighting. In other words, do you want to drink whiskey or sarsaparilla?
If you choose to negotiate, the game will offer dialogue choices in which your actions will help to shape Jake’s alignment and personality traits. From the righteous hero to a cold, gunslinging outlaw, and anything else in between, such decisions will affect how the NPCs will interact with the character and lead to unlocking story paths and quests.
For those who will primarily go the way of the gun, the game’s real-time combat will allow players to utilize a range of weapons from melee to firearms with items and even the surroundings to use in order to outsmart the enemies you encounter and make along the way. Enemies who will have weaknesses and resistances for players to devise plans to beat them varmints.
