For parkour fans and gamers looking to get their fix in a video game, the Assassin’s Creed franchise might have offered up a nice experience to whet the appetite. But STORROR Parkour Pro looks like it is going to ramp that up. So move over Assassin’s Creed, STORROR Parkour Pro just launched on Steam Early Access and looks like it wants to turn into sobbing, boneless heaps.
Developed by Hole in the Sleeve Game Studios, STORROR Parkour Pro is set in London’s Isle of Dogs and is looking to provide the ultimate experience in parkour. Forget about hopping up and down the walls of Rome, which is for amateurs like Ezio, this game is set in the modern world with a modern landscape for players to explore and challenge themselves amongst the dizzying heights of skyscrapers. Featuring a movement system that allows players to jump, climb, vault, swing, slide, flip, stride, and more that accompanies a substantial set of parkour mechanics.
While exploring the rooftops and streets of the Isle of Dogs, players will be able to ride on top of trains, scale moving cranes, leap off of rooftops, and escape from helicopters. Players will need to fulfill missions, complete challenges, and pull off exciting escapes from security. In Early Access, the game will have three areas for players to leap about with wild abandon: the council estate, skyscrapers, and construction site.
The game will also allow players to parkour alongside their friends in multiplayer. Whether challenging each other to insane feats or sabotaging each other with maniacal glee.
For those scared of annihilating ankles and shattering shin bones, or have no real life athletic ability, STORROR Parkour Pro is now available on Steam Early Access for $29.99 (on sale for $24.99 until April 14th).
